But despite that, I really loved the series (I watched it all in one day so it goes to show O_O)

Thankfully it wasn’t too dark to the point where I got depressed (but who knows it may happen later >_>)I mean in terms of darkness, I have seen darker shows (Elfen Lied and Evengelion, oh God Evangelion…)
But man it was a pretty dark show..

But the story was unpredictable and I really wasn’t expecting the ending, which is really a good thing, it kept me on the edge of my seat.

But yeah, I don’t say stuff like this (because I don’t want to overhype stuff) but this anime was brilliant, and I’m certainly glad I watched it.

If people here liked this show then I actually recommend Neon Genesis Evangelion and the movie The End of Evangelion (if you guys haven’t seen it), it’s pretty similar to Madoka as a deconstruction show. And it’s super dark and twisted, especially near the end… c’:

It really has been forever since I saw Sailor Moon in general…

…..It’s going to get worse, isn’t it.

Although I did see sailor moon as a kid on Cartoon Network :3, I may have to check that out again ^^

But it is cool to see certain genres get deconstructed, or even become twisted and horrific, just like Evangelion did with the mecha genre.
I’m still curious to see how Madoka Magica will deconstruct the magical girl genre…
