mre380 asked: Next year, no, this year, right now, I'm going to draw one thing a day, and I'm going to keep it in a folder. I always wanted to draw, but I hate that my art work never look like those on the how to videos, but that's going to change. I never made a promise that I broke, I always told myself that I was going to draw to help me with my writing, and I will. I'm telling you all of this, because I saw how you drew Henrietta, your first time and how much you improve. You gave me hope to try again.
I’m glad the blog can give you that type of inspiration! But that also sounds like a good resolution, a tip I’d give you is study art that gives you inspiration and also never be afraid to use references and keep looking at those youtube time-lapse vids, you eventually will get your own style through hard work! And i know you can do it <:
^^^That’s just a 2 year gap mind you!
So it can happen, just keep going at it and you can do it! Even if it’s frustrating keep going at it, and i believe in you too <:
Anonymous asked: What software/ program do you use to draw. By the way I really love your work. Keep it up~♥
Thank you ^^ Also, I primarily use Manga Studio (also called ‘Clip Studio’ i think) Since I feel that’s the best for lineart, like it was practically made for it, plus it has built-in word bubble brushes and tools and stuff that makes making mangas/comics easier
I’ve also used Photoshop to make the screentone effect to make the comic look manga-like. Plus it’s easier to download and create brushes on there.
Anonymous asked: What inspired you to make this wonderful comic
A lot of things to be honest! I think the thing that kicked me off was like, MLP:FiM, when I used to heavily be a part of the fandom (nowadays I’m not as much) and The Secret of NIMH, I really enjoyed seeing cute characters in situations where they could discuss and express emotion in a more mature manner, as opposed to it being mindless kiddie stuff. NIMH got me interested in something similar, cute animal characters, mature (and sometimes dark) plot executed well. (Also, a ton of anime)
So for Henrietta I wanted to do something similar, except I kind of want to go a little more beyond with that! Since it’s a webcomic form I have tons of freedom with it.
And like, I don’t know why but I just want to make a good story that like, people will remember and really like or love? That’s why i like shiver at any tiny mistake or past writing I really hate ;w;
mre380 asked: Is there a way that we can buy this web-comic from like Amazon or something? I would love to see this in a bookstore somewhere.
Not at the moment! But that would be awesome though, though it would only happen after the numerous revisions i’d make to the art and tweaks in the writing, haha
But yeah, I’m super down with me working on my way for it being like, officially printed, I’d love to have it immortalized in a physical medium
I don’t have plans for that atm, but in the future I want to.
echoatmidnight asked: I just stumbled across your comic and holy wow. I absolutely adore your art style. I love what you did with Ep2 pg 44. That entire page is gorgeous. I just binge read it to the most current page and I absolutely love it. Thank you for taking the time to make and share this with this wonderful adventure with the rest of us. I look forward to the rest of your amazing work. Such adorable characters all of them. I can't get over how cute they all are and the way you draw their expressions! Stellar~
Aah thank you so much sweetie! I’m really glad you enjoyed it all the way through so far, and I’m giving it my all! And I’m really glad you liked that one page, it was one of my favorites to draw~
