Have you seen the Berserk manga? The art itself is breathtaking and the story is set in one of the deepest medieval fantasy worlds I have read! The first few chapters do a good job of setting the tone for Guts and Berserk, but once you get through that into Guts' backstory, the Golden Age arc, It really comes alive! just a word of warning, it is quite gory and has lots of sexual violence, and I can't quite recommend it without mentioning that. Definitely worth reading, at least to see the art!
I’ve certainly seen the artwork of it, which is super detailed and gorgeous in some parts, certainly, and ooh yeah, I do know there’s a whole lot of the story that takes place after the Golden Age Arc, I hope to get into that too
And I’m definitely aware of the gruesome content, despite the cutesy nature I put out on this blog seeing anime or manga that contains that is not foreign to me so I’ll be alright :P
I do love the setting though, I’ve never really been interested in fantasy medieval stuff at all despite people going ga-ga over GoT and LotR, but Berserk actually makes it interesting for me…
